About Us

Hello, there! I am Dr. Lamb. I received my Ph.D. from Texas A&M University, many, many years ago. I am a tenured university professor in a business school now. I have a very good life- everything I ever wanted when I was a child. However, as we make more and more money (we are fortunate enough to both have really good jobs that get a raise almost every year), we also owe more and more money- how is that even possible?

Before I got married and started working in a university, I used to travel all over the U.S. and made an international trip every year or so. But I had no debt, and no responsibilities. Now, it seems like every trip costs so much more because we can no longer stand budget hotels and everything has to be just “right” (it simply means it is more expensive).

So I am starting this blog, as a journey to financial freedom and inner peace. I want to share with all of you how we can spend money smarter, invest money wisely, and live an epic life. It is after all, Epic Money, Epic Life!

By no means I am an expert. You may not agree with my viewpoints and even find typos in my blog. I am still working full time and we have a small child. I am doing this blog all by myself (with some occasional help from my awesome spouse). I am really hoping this blog can grow bigger and I will eventually have advertisers and generate some income from this blog. My goal is to quit my job (yes, my “perfect” professor job) and do this full time, because I want to live a happier and more fulfilling life.
